death day

plan: 1 hour easy run, 2:30 bike
actual: 8.4 mile hill run, 1 hour spin, intervals

Big training day.  I think lost 3 lbs today alone (at least the scale thinks I did)


  • did a 5:30 am run with Bernie an Julie. They run at a easy (9 min) pace and we ran the TP/DelMarHeights road route from the PAC
    • 1:15, 956 cal, HR 134/167
  • spin
    • 1 hour, 534 cal, 116/146
  • intervals
    • run to CVMS track..then
      1. 2:22 600m, 45 sec 200m
      2. 2:13 600m, 41 sec 200
      3. 2:17 600m, 37 sec 200
      4. 2:16 600m, 38 sec 200
      5. 2:25 600m, 42 sec 200
    • average HR during intervals - 167
    • peak HR - 182
The intervals were very hard - i was VERY tired and did them alone.  but I did them....and realized i'm getting MUCH stronger -especially in the 6" between my ears.
