on the road again

I've had to go off the schedule to accommodate the travel of the week, specifically trips to Portland and (today) Dallas.

Wednesday 8/31/2011 - Portland
10 km run in downtown portland

I got up at 5:30 am in Portland. It was still dark and remained dark until about 6:20, whereupon I had a great run.  I ran from downtown to the river and did a couple laps of the esplanade.  It was overcast and cool.  there were many runners, cyclists...and homeless people.  They have these "always on" drinking fountains every 1/2 mile that bubble water up from beautiful brass  nozzles.  Such a clean city, and a great run.  Felt wonderful.
