Today's Workout: 2 mile warmup at 8:10/mile, then, 6 miles as: 7:03, 6:58, 6:54, 6:49, 6:44, 6:40, then 1 mile slow (10 min) to cool down. My HR went from 145 during the first mile to 156 and then 162 average during the last couple of miles. That is -I was really feeling it. It was all uncomfortable, but after the first few miles I settled into the reality that it was going to be somewhat unpleasant, but not all that hard.
Well, having said all that, it was much harder than I expected, at least it felt that way. Maybe I'm burned out on the treadmill by now, or it could be that the last 10 days of working out wore me out:
Sun - 8 mile @8min, Sat -24 miles@ 8:20, Fri - dead tired rest of tendon day, Thur - 5 miles 8:14, Wed 7 miles @ 8:20 w/8 x 30 seconds@ 5 min pace, Tue - 13 @ 7:45, Mon 9 miles @ 8:00 w/5 x 2:15 @ 6:00 pace, Sun 6 @ 8:15, Sat 18 with the last 12 @ 6:59 (last 6 @ 6:46).
Tomorrow is 14 @ 8:10 or so. Let's see.
