Rode up the coast for 50 min and back. I would have gone further, but my a link in my chain broke and I had to fix it - which I was only partialy succusful doing on the road. Rode back with a good tailwind. Felt refreshed upon returning, so I ran a bit quickly during the first part of the run. I slowed down on the return ..probably ran just under 5 miles.

felt mostly easy. I'm much more comfortable running at higher heart rates than I used to be. When I was doing the mile on the track in the morning I knew I was pressing a little above tempo, but I was surprised to see my HR was at 172 during the last 1/4 mile.
