Mostly good training Week

Recap of the past week:

Monday 20 February 2006 - 1 hour

I did an easy 2500Y at lunchtime - mostly all freestyle: 500 warmup, 3 x 300 pull, 100 IM, 100, 200, 300, 400 free with 1 min rest. I'm feeling better swimming these days.

Tuesday 21 February 2006 - 2.5 hours

2 x spin class: first the 4:30 class: average HR 142, peak was 165 during a sprint. It was really hot so I turned on the fan in the back. then 30 min spinning with a HR of 120..then Carles's class with a average HR of 147. I was totally wiped after the second class.

Wednesday 22 February 2006 - 2 hours

am: 3000 y masters swim. 500 warmup, 4 x 200 pull, 100 kick, 200 IM, 1000 yards of mixed strokes, then 2 x 200 free. not too hard, but harder than monday.

pm: 1 hour run with 8 x 400 intervals. i was not on the track so I just did 1:45 sprints during the run...which was hilly. I still feel really slow when I'm runing.

thurday 23 February 2006 - 2 hours

I was supposed to do a 2.5 hour bike, but I had no time in the morning. I got in a 1 hour run at lunch which I did quite hard. in the afternoon I did Carles's spin class at 6:00 pm. That was not as hard as Tuesday.

Friday 24 February 2006 - 1 hour

I did the masters swim class: 500 warmup, 3 x 300 pull, 100 kick..then...butterfly (100 pull, 100 kick, 100 normal), breast (100 pull, 100 kick, 100 normal), back (100 pull, 100 kick, 100 normal). then 2 x 200 free, 2 x 100 free. I was really tired at the end of this.

Saturday - 0 hours

on vacation

Sunday - 1 hour

I got back at 3:00 pm and did an 6.5 mile run in 53 min...just over 8 min/mile. This may not sound like much, but this was hard for me to do on this day. My average HR was 152 and the peak was 176.

total week: 10 hours. mostly all good. No injury
