Ocean swim at Jakes in Del Mar

Ocean Swim - 2500 Y

Did an ocean swim of about 2500 Y (45 min) with Marci, Jim and Jim's neighbor. It was a warm, mostly sunny evening and the water was warmer feeling than the 69 degrees on the lifeguard chalkboard.

I was slower than the other three, but not all that much. I was not doing all that much siting and lost them a couple times. Also, I think I lost a contac lens and that was contributing to the problem. I felt most strong the whole way. I tried to speed up for a while on the last leg home and started to get pretty winded. The water was not all that calm and as a result it was a good workout.
